Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use of CADD and Revit in the production of construction drawings.
- Involvement in plan review for quality control and code compliance.
- Client communications including design development and client support.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of work experience in an architectural designer role
- Exceptional team-building abilities, detail oriented, problem-solving, follow-through and organization skills are key to this position.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- College degree in Drafting Technology
- Experience in Revit / AutoCAD
- Must have excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere, and meet deadlines.
This is not a remote working position. Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Project Coordinator
HFR, located in Duluth, Georgia, is searching for someone with never-ending curiosity and detailed organization skills to fill the role of Project Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to project team members and clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a real time spreadsheet tracking milestone dates and current standings of each project
- Effectively communicate status updates to clients and team members
- Attend internal staff and client meetings, take notes, provide minutes as needed
- At the start of a project, call local jurisdictions to confirm permit submittal requirements
- Must be able to schedule time to reconfirm submittal requirements prior to permit submittal
- Assist with filling out permit applications
- Submit projects for permit, whether it be online submittals or mail in submittals
- Follow up with permitting jurisdictions for status updates on permit submittals
- Pay any permitting fees, process receipts for Accounting
- Review/approve incoming and outgoing invoices
- Book travel arrangements
- Answer calls as they come in – Act as a Point of Contact for architects when they are out of office
- Set up meeting invitations/conference calls
- Manage studio calendars
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of work experience in an administrative role
- Prior experience in the architectural/construction industry or experience with commercial
- College degree preferred
- Basic understanding of business accounting and invoicing
- Ability to multi-task/self-motivated/self-accountable
- Able to communicate effectively
- Working of knowledge of typical administrative programs (Microsoft Office, BlueBeam, Adobe, Smartsheet, etc.)
- Able to work 40 hour work week during standard business hours
Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The ability to travel out of town is NOT a requirement for the position. This is NOT a remote working position.

Since the founding of our firm, we have provided consistent, and quality building design, for our clients in many market areas which include, financial, medical, municipal, office, religious, restaurant, retail, and storage facilities. Our multi discipline team, collaborates to bring about, cost effective designs for new buildings, existing building expansions, and retrofit projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create engineering calculations, construction drawings, detail sheets, and review/edit project specifications with attention to current building design codes.
- Research and apply building codes and regulations to designs.
- Lead or support site visits to document existing conditions and translate findings into plans and details and perform construction site visits
- Conduct structural field assessments of existing structural systems for building expansions and retrofit projects.
- Aid in reviewing shop drawings, construction work, and materials for conformance with project specifications and perform any additional construction administration tasks.
- Communicate and coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and government officials throughout project phases.
- Review and respond to contractor inquiries and field issues efficiently.
- Contribute to permitting processes by addressing reviewer comments.
- Apply knowledge of construction types and techniques to new and retrofit projects.
- Provide general support to the structural team on day-to-day project tasks.
- Report directly to the Project Leader or Senior Structural Engineer.
Qualifications:
- A Professional Engineer (PE), who has been registered for 2-4 years, and is working in the field of Structural Engineering. Candidates who have passed the SE exam and hold an SE license bring added value to the role.
- Must have experience in the design of Structural Steel, Masonry, Concrete, Light Gauge Metal Design, and Wood. Any design experience in Post Tension or Mass Timber Design is a benefit.
- Experience managing a team of engineers on various projects.
- Capable of managing multiple projects in varying stages of design, and construction.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a project team and communicate clearly with clients, and all disciplines of the project design team.
- Experience with creating and reviewing project construction documents utilizing, AutoCAD, or Revit.
- Experience with MS Office software, and structural design software such as Enercalc, and RISA.
