C3 Room Gets a Bold New Look with Custom Wall Graphic
August 2025 – In a vibrant step toward fostering creativity and teamwork, our office has unveiled a new piece to our collaboration room featuring a stunning new wall graphic designed by staff member Jennifer Adame and produced by McFaddin Marketing.
The upgrade is part of a broader initiative to enhance shared spaces and energize cross-functional collaboration. The mural is the custom-designed wall graphic—a bold, expressive visual that captures the spirit, values, and personality of our office.
A Design That Speaks for Us | Jennifer Adame, known for her keen eye and creative flair, took the lead in conceptualizing the graphic after being awarded the opportunity in our office’s design competition. Drawing inspiration from the team’s energy, local culture, and our company’s mission, she crafted a collage of design work that blends abstract elements with recognizable symbols that reflect who we are.
Brought to Life by McFaddin | To bring the vision to life, we partnered with McFaddin, a trusted marketing vendor with a reputation for high-quality pieces. Their team worked with Adame and Associate Adam Glenn to ensure every detail—from color fidelity to material finish—was executed flawlessly. The result is a dynamic, immersive wall that transforms the room into a hub of innovation and connection.
A Space for Ideas to Thrive The revamped collaboration room is already making waves among staff. With its refreshed layout and inspiring visual centerpiece, it’s quickly becoming the go-to spot for brainstorming sessions, team huddles, and other impromptu gatherings.
As we continue to invest in environments that support our people and their ideas, the new C3 stands as a testament to what happens when creativity, teamwork, and thoughtful design come together.
The idea for this mural was to create something meaningful and interactive. I wanted the mural to not just be a graphic but a visual representation of the beautiful chaos that defines what we do at HFR.
The layered collage is intentionally complex and chaotic. It’s a blend of sketches, renderings, and project snapshots pulled from different disciplines from architecture, to civil, structural, and some MEP. Symbolizing how collaboration, even when messy and nonlinear, leads to impactful and meaningful work. Even in the rush of deadlines, RFIs, and redlines, there’s something poetic about the way our disciplines overlap, support, and challenge each other. This mural celebrates that idea of “the creative tension, the shared wins, and the unexpected beauty that comes out of our process”.
The interaction portion is expected to come from panels that will project forward from this visual background. The purpose of the panels is to create physical moments that represent who we are as a firm. These are about identity, values, and culture. Each panel will highlight a key theme tied to the “Connecting, Collaborating, and Creating.”
Collectively, the mural and the panels go beyond just being a visual feature for the C3 room; they become a living expression of who we are as a firm. So going back to the 3 C’s,(connecting, collaborating, and creating)It reflects our culture, encourages interaction, and highlights the diverse perspectives and talents that drive HFR forward. It’s a reminder that behind every drawing, every detail, and every decision is a collaborative effort and that the most meaningful design happens when we create together.
